Paddle Boat Dinner Cruise and Bat Watch on Lady Bird Lake

$35 per person includes BBQ dinner and bar service, soft drinks, tax, and gratuity.
Appetizer: Queso and Guacamole with Chips
BBQ menu: beef brisket, sausage, and chicken with homemade sauce. Your pick of 3 sides: pinto beans, baked potato casserole, and coleslaw. Dessert: Peach Cobbler.
Bar service: Unlimited soft drinks, Juices, Bottled Water, Iced Tea, Mixers, Ice Chest, Ice, Cups, Limes, and a TABC Certified Bartender. BYOB Guests may bring wine, liquor, or beer to be served by the bartender. Please label your bottles prior to giving them to the bartender.
RSVP payment is due Friday, May 29th. Register online for this event and pay at the time of registration.
Bat Watching: The “must see” unique event in Austin! The bats should emerge from under the Congress Avenue Bridge during the cruise. According to Bat Conservation International, “With up to 1.5 million bats spiraling into the summer skies, Austin now has one of the most unusual and fascinating tourist attractions anywhere.” Visit http://www.batcon.org for more information on the bats. - The Lone Star is a double-decked, paddle-wheel riverboat, the largest all-electric paddle-wheeler in the nation. The lower cabin has central AC and heat. The upper deck is a huge open area. Wheelchair/ADA accessible.
- Rain will not cancel the event as guests can congregate in the lower cabin. The event will be canceled by the vendor only in case of thunderstorms or other severe weather.
Docking Location:
West of the Hyatt Hotel, next to the South First Street Bridge, on the south shore of Lady Bird Lake
Recommended Parking: Recommended parking is at 208 Barton Springs Road at the Hyatt Hotel. The current rate is $34.00 (1-3 hours), and payment is credit card only. We are 100 yards to the west of the Hyatt Hotel and right next to the South First Street Bridge.
Recommended parking is at 301 West 2nd Street at the City Hall parking garage. The current rate is $6.00 for the first hour, then $3.00 for each additional 30 minutes. If you park at City Hall, you will need to cross the lake on the South 1st Street Bridge. Our dock is located at the bottom of the stairs on the South Shore.
Parking is also available at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, located at 701 West Riverside Drive. The current rate is $12.00- $15.00 per car.
