Random Happenings is a new interest group that offers a fun way to get to know the vibrant city of Austin. Newcomers can participate in a variety of entertaining and interesting things to do in and around the city – random because there is no common theme, other than providing a chance to get together, meet some new friends and enjoy a different “happening” each time! For our first event on September 24, we’ll meet at the Balloon Museum – Let’s Fly exhibit, located at 2930 W. Anderson Lane (formerly Louis Shanks Furniture). Variations of this unique interactive exhibit are being shown in cities around the country and the world. Join us afterward for Social Hour at Cover 3 restaurant, a couple of blocks to the east at 2700 W. Anderson Lane.
To attend this event, you must (1) register through the ANC calendar AND (2) purchase an advance ticket to the Balloon Museum on the Museum website: https://tickets.balloonmuseum.world/lets-fly-austin/. Select Wednesday, September 24 at 2 p.m.; if no tickets are available, select 2:15 p.m. or later as needed. Tickets are $39 + fees per adult (through age 65); $36 + fees if over age 6 (listed with Youth tickets). Register early and purchase your ticket to ensure your spot. You will receive an email before the event with parking information and other details.
