May President’s letter
Dear Austin Newcomers,
May is the time to savor the nice weather along with the much-needed rain. Take this opportunity to enjoy the outdoors before it gets hot for the summer. The ANC Calendar is full of activities, so check it out and sign up to try something new.
Don’t miss the last Member Luncheons on May 20th. We’ll be dining on chicken cordon bleu and listening to the speakers from the Austin Rotary Club at Balcones Country Club. Register online no later than May 15th.
Thank you to all who have voted in the 2026-2027 Executive Board election this week. If you haven’t voted yet, you still have until Sunday to do so. You should have received instructions in an email last week. It is one vote per household and the vote is for the entire Board, not individuals.
Don’t miss our special Member event coming up on June 4th! We will be taking a Paddle boat on Lake Austin to watch the spectacular bat flight that takes place from under the Congress St bridge. Dinner is included and it is BYOB, but we’ll have licensed bartender mixing and providing soft drinks, juice and mixers for us. All this is only $30 per person because the Club is subsidizing part of the cost. Sign up early and pay with a credit card online to reserve your spot. Guests are welcome-just sign them up when you register. The boat is limited to 100 passengers, so don’t miss out!
