If you love animals, you are going to love our guest speaker in May, Patti Clark. Born and raised in Austin, with a Master’s degree from the University of Texas, Patti joined the Austin Zoo Board of Directors in 2003. In 2007, she became the Executive Director. Under her direction, the Austin Zoo has grown significantly in visitors and revenue each year.
Patti was named the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year in 2003. In 2007, she received the Dripping Springs Pride Award, and in 2010, she was named the Dripping Springs Citizen of the Year. She has also been honored by Austin groups, receiving an award for Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser and a Philanthropy Award by the Austin Groups for the Elderly.
Patti is passionate about the Austin Zoo’s mission, which is to rescue animals in need and secure a forever home for them. They rescue animals who have been abandoned, from cruel situations, from individuals who can no longer care for them, from people who no longer want them, and from local government entities.
Join us on May 21st as Patti shares her love of these animals and their stories with us, as well as the many wonderful things the Austin Zoo is doing in our community.
Lunch is at Balcones Country Club from 11:00- 1:00 on Wednesday, Mary 21st
