June Luncheon: Wildlife in Austin

John Davis, our June luncheon speaker, is Conservation Outreach Coordinator for the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s Land Management Program. He helps the city to manage its system of nature preserves as native ecosystems for Species of Greatest Conservation Need as identified in the state’s Wildlife Action Plan, as well as to build constituencies to support that work. Previously John worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as an Urban Wildlife Biologist early in his career, and retired as Wildlife Diversity Program Director overseeing all aspects of nongame and rare species conservation.
