Want to increase your participation in your events? Sign-ups depend on getting members to know more about your event and when it meets in a timely manor. You can write an article highlighting your event enticing members to join your next meeting. Including a picture or icon to your article will also enhance readership. Timing is important! Submit your article at least one to one and one and a half before the signup deadline and submit it to Linda Poyser, (InterestGroupCoordinator@austinnewcomers.com). After Linda reviews the article, she can enter it as a Welcome Mat article. After submission the article is published intermediately on the News & Events –> Welcome Mat Articles web page and will get sent out on Sunday Morning Weekly email to all membership.
By the way, adding a picture or icon to your Interest Group Submission will also enhance exposure when it is viewed on the new feature menu command ‘Events at a Glance’ which list the next 30 events to members on a single webpage. Selecting the Event Title will take them directly to the Calendar page for that event allowing the member to sign up or find out more detail on the event.
