Discussion on glass by Linda Dickson, a vendor at The Antique Gallery who specializes in Early American
Glass. Linda will discuss origin, history and
periods of Early American glass, composition (lead vs. soda ash), types (Early American,
Carnival, Pattern, Depression and Elegant), colors (vaseline, etc.), glass companies and how to determine value.
Please bring
a piece of your favorite glassware for Linda to discuss relative to the above topics.
The Antique Gallery opens at 10 AM, which
will provide time for browsing prior to the 11AM presentation and lunch. After lunch, you can browse further at your leisure.
Lunch
will be a choice of a chicken salad, egg salad or tuna salad sandwich on homemade bread with chips and dessert. The caterer advises
that her
homemade sandwich salads are just simply the best ever!
